Website Terms and Conditions

Hello there! Before you dive in, let’s talk about how this works. These are our website terms and conditions – they’re important (yes, really) because they set out how you can use our site and what you can expect from us.

The Short Version

  • Using our site means you’re agreeing to these terms
  • Our content is ours (or we have permission to use it)
  • We try our best to keep things running smoothly, but we can’t promise perfection
  • Be nice – don’t try to break things or steal stuff
  • Your privacy matters (check out our Privacy Policy for the details)

The Important Details (Still in Plain English)

Using Our Site

It’s free to use our site, and we want to keep it that way. We might need to take it down occasionally for updates or maintenance, but we’ll try to give you a heads-up when we can.

Our Content and Brand

Everything you see here – the words, images, design, code, logos, and branding – that’s all ours or we have permission to use it. Our brand identity (including our name, logos, colors, and style) is especially important to us, so we need to be extra clear about this bit.

You can:

  • Look at it
  • Share it (as long as you’re not trying to make money from it)
  • Save a copy for yourself
  • Print it for personal use
  • Link to us (while following our linking guidelines below)

But please don’t:

  • Try to pass it off as your own
  • Sell it or use it commercially without our permission
  • Use it to train AI systems
  • Scrape our site or use bots to collect data
  • Use our brand elements (logos, name, etc.) in any way that might confuse people about who we are
  • Modify our branding or create similar-looking materials
  • Register domain names, social media accounts, or trademarks that could be confused with ours
  • Use our content or brand in ways that might damage our reputation

If you’re not sure whether something’s okay, just ask. We’re usually pretty reasonable about these things.

Links

Feel free to link to our homepage (but please follow the guidelines above). If you want to link to other pages, just ask first. And while we try to make sure any links we include to other sites are useful, we can’t be responsible for what you find when you click through.

When Things Go Wrong

We work hard to keep everything running smoothly, but sometimes things go wrong. If they do:

  • If you’re using our site for business: we’re not liable for any losses you might face
  • If you’re using our site as a regular person: we’re responsible for fixing any damage we cause through negligence, but not for things beyond our control

Security

Please don’t try to hack us, unleash viruses, or crash our site. Not only is it not cool, but it’s also illegal under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.

Changes

We might update these terms sometimes. When we do, we’ll let you know, but it’s worth checking back occasionally.

Questions?

If something’s not clear or you need to reach us, drop us a line at enquiries@cerestrial.com. We’re actual humans and we’re happy to help.

These terms are governed by English law. If you’re in the UK, you can choose which courts to use if there’s a dispute. If you’re a business, it has to be the courts of England and Wales.
